"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." - Psalm 127:3

Why Homeschool?
If you’ve checked out our About page, you already got a quick glimpse of why we chose homeschooling. But I’d love to dive a little deeper into why I believe homeschooling is a great choice. This is just my personal perspective, and I know not everyone will feel the same—and that’s okay! Let's agree to disagree and keep things kind and respectful. No judgment here—just an open space to share and learn from each other, because every family’s journey and circumstances are unique.
1. THE WORD OF GOD (The Bible)
As a Christian, I see the Bible as both an authority and a guide. It provides everything we need to grow in faith and to nurture our children along the way. Here are some inspiring verses that offer wisdom and encouragement:
Ephesians 6:4 states that we should bring up our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:7 states "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..."
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 says "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you site in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
Romans 12:2 says "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Yes, all these words speak about the WORD. And really, what could be more important? But while our children need a strong foundation in faith, they also need essential life skills. If you think about it, all knowledge ultimately comes from God.

Historically, children were always taught at home. The first public schools were actually started by churches to educate those who couldn’t afford private, elite schools. And at the heart of that education was the Word of God. Today, children may hear it at church—but is once a week really enough? Deuteronomy calls us to teach our children diligently, yet if they’re in school all day, every day, when do we fulfill that calling?

Of course, we live in modern times, and not everyone has the opportunity to homeschool, even if they desire to. And that’s okay! But for those of us who can—what’s our excuse? Do we feel we need more ‘me time’? Personal time is important, but with a well-organized schedule, everything can find its place.
These are just four points to consider if you're wondering whether homeschooling is the right choice for your family. It may or may not apply to you, and that’s okay—every family’s situation is unique.
Above all, let’s remember to be kind and considerate of others. We never truly know someone else’s circumstances, so let’s offer support instead of judgment.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post! Wishing you wisdom, joy, and many blessings on your journey—whatever path you choose.
